CONSIGNMENT PROGRAM
Since 1991, Amplex Corporation has offered Federal Duck Stamps on a consignment basis to assist in distribution for the Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Sales of the Duck Stamp have grown dramatically as more sporting goods dealers have elected to offer the stamp to their customers. We currently provide stamps to approximately 6,000 retail stores nationwide, as well as a number of State Agencies (i.e.: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, N. Dakota, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin).
In an effort to broaden the sales of the Federal Duck Stamp, we are asking for your review and consideration in providing the stamps both as an added convenience to your customers and an attraction for new customers. Statistics show that these customers, being familiar with your store, will then purchase other merchandise. If you already offer the stamps in your stores by purchasing them from the Post Office, you will find the Consignment Program of great benefit to your operation. With the sale of each Federal Duck Stamp, you may charge a service fee that you deem fair and reasonable to your customer.
The sign up process is easy. Simply print out the Federal Duck Stamp Consignment Agreement, fill in the pertinent information, and mail it to Amplex Corporation, 1100 Fountain Parkway, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050-1513. Once we have the agreement, it is sent to the Department of the Interior, Federal Duck Stamp Office, to be signed by the Federal Duck Stamp Chief. When processing is complete, a copy will be sent to you for your files, and we keep the original.
Through this Consignment Agreement, stamps may be sold to the general public beginning July 1 of each year. In January, a billing statement is sent showing all activity for the season. As you know, waterfowl populations and areas of healthy habitat are on the decline, primarily due to undesirable environmental conditions and depleted wetland areas. Ninety-eight percent of the receipts from the sale of Federal Duck Stamps are used to acquire wetlands for North American Waterfowl. We all benefit through involvement in the Duck Stamp Program.
